The XL19i offers a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating of up to 17.90 and has an HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) of up to 8.90. This means it offers an unbeatable combination of energy efficiency and lower operating costs. The higher the ratings, the greater the energy efficiency. With a SEER of 17.90, Trane's XL19i is the most efficient heat pump available today.
Enhanced Airflow for Greater Humidity Control
 Comfort-R™ Enhanced Mode When matched with a variable speed indoor unit from Trane, the XL19i heat pump has another special comfort feature. It's a method of enhancing airflow that we call Comfort-R™ and it gives you greater humidity control in cooling. In fact, with a variable speed system, Comfort-R™ can remove up to 24 gallons of moisture a day, compared to only 6 gallons removed by a single speed system.
When this enhanced mode is set by the installer, the motor ramps up more slowly at start-up, moving air slowly across the cooling coil. this allows the cooling coil to rapidly cool, resulting in increased moisture removal. Comfort-R™ also provides warmer air during heating start-up.
